Acceptance Speech

A couple weeks ago, I was honored to receive first prize in a short story contest judged by the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference of Rockville, MD. As you may or may not know, Fitzgerald spent a large portion of time in Rockville and is buried with Zelda and his daughter in St. Mary's Cemetery. Here I was invited to give a short talk about my winning story, "Accumulator," my inspiration and research.

Also, I met the 2014 FSFLC Award winner, James Salter!

SundaeGirl in Action!

On Sunday Oct. 12 I gave this reading at the Arlington Courthouse Music and Arts and Beer Festival. Over the deafening roar of simultaneous rock music stages 1, 2, and 3, I read an excerpt from my short story "Accumulator" which just won the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference Short Story Contest. The FSF Literary Festival where I'm officially accepting the award will be tomorrow Oct. 18 in Rockville, my hometown, and I couldn't be more thrilled.
